Microsoft achèterait Yahoo!

D’après certaines rumeurs circulant actuellement sur le Net, Microsoft serait interessé par le rachat de Yahoo!
Rumor has it Microsoft wants to buy Yahoo!. On Sunday the L.A. Times reported on “speculation” that Microsoft offered the Sunnyvale company $80 billion for a buy-out, but Yahoo! claimed it was too low. Now the speculation is that Redmond will put up a higher offer, which has caused Yahoo!’s stock to jump. Though Microsoft is starting to show signs of finally “getting” the web, I think Yahoo! would fare poorly in any deal involving them.
Sans prendre en compte le montant de l’achat qui devrait être faramineux, ça me paraîtrait possible parce qu’il n’y a rien à dire, ils ont tout de même peur de Google qui marche sur leurs plates bandes. Mais d’un autre côté, ce serait tout simplement admettre que leur moteur MSN Search, dont il font une pub depuis peu pour le lancement, est un échec. Et ça, ça ferait plutôt tache. Reste que Yahoo! offre tout un tas d’autres services dont Microsoft pourrait profiter.
Quoiqu’il en soit, les actions de Yahoo! ont fait un bond dans la journée…
